The month has come and gone and with that, I have sketched quite a lot. It feels good to get back in the saddle again and put my time and energy into something I’m passionate about, art. Back when Conan O’Brian left for sunny California and was dumped by NBC, he was quickly swept up by TBS for their own late-night lineup. During a segment with Bruce Timm (top heavy-weight at Warner Bros. Animation and Art Director for numerous DC Comics inspired animations under the WB banner), The Flaming C was born. What came next was a shocker to me; Conan announced an art contest involving his

Blind In the Wind

This was one of my favorite pieces to work on for a while. Still is too. I’m debating whether I want to redo this in a more colorized version, but all in good time. Probably will even stick with using traditional media too, question comes to which one, I’m thinking oil paints.

Digital Sketchbook

A couple months ago I managed to get my hands on an iPad. Within a week, I loaded it up with a bevy of art related apps. Sketching on a tablet device is by no means an easy task, whether its with a stylus or your finger. And the feeling is more akin to drawing on a whiteboard than say a pencil and paper.
